During your blog consultation we will discuss your business goals and how a new blog or blog design will help you achieve those goals. Beyond the design of the blog we will discuss how to efficiently market and advertise your new blog.

Cost of a Blog Design

The cost of a blog design and development project is usually between $500 and $2000. As with most design and development projects, the cost of a blog design has a wide range. The following are some points that affect the overall cost of a blog design and development project.

• Timeline

  This one is pretty simple, if you need the blog to go live quicker than my proposed timeline, that will drive the cost up.

• New design or redesign?

  Its a simpler project to redesign an existing blog than it is to design a completely new blog.

• Bells, whistles, and specialized plugin support

  If you need anything that requires special coding. This could be a specially developed plugin or an animation.

Blog Design Process and Timeline

Every blog design project is unique, as such, I’ve presented a wide range of dates for the completion of a blog design.

• Phase 1: Research (1-2 weeks)

  During the initial consultation we will go over your business goals, and how your new blog will help you achieve those goals. We will discuss special considerations for the advertising, marketing, and content creation for your blog. After the consultation I will come back with design inspiration pieces (advertisements, other blog, etc.) and we’ll figure out the best style for your blog.

• Phase 2: Design (1-4 weeks)

  Next, we’ll focus on reviewing the designs and concepts that I have created. These designs will be based on our previous meetings. Generally, we’ll pick one design to revise until its perfect! Before I go onto phase 3 of the project you’ll need to sign an agreement stating that the design won’t need anymore major changes.

• Phase 3: Development (1-4 weeks)

  After the the final design has been agreed upon,  I’ll get to coding. At the end of this phase the site will be live!
